What kind of church is GCC?
- Galesburg Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational congregation which strives to pattern itself after the church revealed in the New Testament.
- We are a congregation free of any outside control, except God and His inerrant Word.
- We are a Church that is well rooted in biblical beliefs and care deeply about all people. If you would like to know more about “What we belief” then click here.

What is there for my kids?
- There is a nursery available for the little ones for both 9:30am Sunday School and 10:30am Worship.
- During the 10:30 Worship service, children from 4 years old through 3rd grade have the option of attending Children’s Church during the sermon to hear an age-appropriate Bible lesson.
- Youth programs are available for High School students on Sunday evenings, and on Wednesday nights for kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

What does Sunday morning look like?
- Starting at 9:30am with free coffee and donuts, there are Sunday School classes for all ages of kids and three adult studies.
- At 10:30am, we gather for worship. The music is a blend of modern worship songs and traditional hymns played by a band using a variety of instruments including acoustic and bass guitars, keyboard, and drums.
- We participate in Communion each week to celebrate the broken body and shed blood of Christ upon the cross for the salvation of the world.
- Preaching is Bible-based, Jesus-centered, and points people toward God’s love for all people.

What do I wear?
- We strive to be a casual and comfortable place. So the dress code is, “Wear some clothes!” From jeans and t-shirt to a suit and tie – doesn’t matter.
- You will not be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. There is a form in our bulletin on which you can share information if you want to be contacted, but that is optional.
